Academic Phase One begins June 17, 2019 and consists of a 5-week academic intensive session ending July 19, 2019.  Classes are held Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.

Academic Phase Three begins June 22, 2020 and consists of one week of course lectures, two days of exams, and a final cohort celebration on July 1, 2020.

Practicum Phase

Practicum:  All students are required to complete a 9 month student teaching practicum in a Montessori Infant or Toddler classroom.  Typically, students complete the practicum by working under the direction of a Lead Montessori Teacher and complete assignments based on classroom experiences and observations.  NMTC also offers a self-directed practicum model where the student is also the Lead Teacher as well as a special interest model for non-teaching educators. Self directed and Special Interest Practicums must be approved by the Program Director and require additional pre-requisites, forms, and fees.  Please email for more information.
