NMTC is only offering these inagural tuition rate for our first cohort!

Tuition is a fee for the entire program, which is paid either in full or in 10 monthly installments. The first tuition payment is due June 1 and the remaining payments are due on the first of each month. Payments not received by the 3rd of the month will be charged a $20.00 late fee. Additionally, all payments are handled through FACTS. Any late fees or returned checks will also incur a late fee as stated in your individual agreement with FACTS.  ALL tuition payments are made in advance.

Tuition payments include three on-site consultations by an NMTC- appointed Advisor during the practicum year. If additional on-site consultations are required, as in the case of a self-directed internship, an additional fee is assessed.

In addition to the fees listed above, the Adult Learner should allot approximately $750 for material making and binders. This responsibility is solely that of the Adult Learner.

Please Note: Any practicum site located more than 50 miles from the nearest qualified consultant will be charged an additional fee to cover the transportation expenses. These fees will be assessed based on the current Federal Government (through GSA) transportation reimbursement rate. (As of January 1, 2017, the rate is $0.54 per mile).

Refunds

Applicants may choose to withdraw from the program at any time. Withdraw must be submitted in writing to the Director of NMTC. An email will not suffice. Upon acceptance of the withdraw notice, the following were non-refundable will not be returned under any circumstances:

• Deposit

• AMS Membership and Credential Fee

• Album Fee

• Academic Work Extension

• Additional Consultations

Any refunded amount will be based on the percentage of the academic program presented to the Adult Learner (please refer to the Adult Learner Handbook for more information). The following is the refund schedule:

All refunds will be made 60 days from receipt the notice to withdraw. The date of withdrawal will be considered the last date of attendance or the date in which the notice was given to the Director of NMTC, whichever is later.

 

Financial Aid

 

Financial aid is not available from NMTC at this time. Scholarships may be granted by AMS to Adult Learners who have been accepted to an AMS affiliated teacher education program. All conditions and responsibilities of this scholarship are between the Adult Learner and AMS. The adult learner is responsible for the application and must contact AMS for additional information.  Please note that at this time NMTC is not affiliated with AMS.

Payment Options

NMTC was founded on the principle of providing affordable Montessori Teacher Training education and continues to aspire to that goal. In doing so, NMTC must forego some modern conveniences to keep administrative costs as low as possible. NMTC only accepts cash or a FACTS payment.
